The aim of Kohin’s training department is to provide hope and vision through equipping organisations working with youth with excellent, relevant and up-to-date skills.
In-house Training
In the in-house training, Kohin’s youth coaches are trained in coaching skills, ethics, crisis intervention and referral skills.
Out-house Training
In the out-house training, organisations that work with youth, may be interested to attend the following available short courses:
Trauma management
Psychosocial support
Healthy Sexual decision making
Organisations may also request training suitable to their own specific needs. In such a case, tailor-made short courses may be designed to address these training needs. Organisations that have benefited from the training up to date, include the Department of Education and NGO’s. We are also in the process of registering with the HWSeta as a training provider and
aligning the short courses with the relevant unit standards to
get them SAQA-accredited.
